Acknowledgement and Understanding:

I, the undersigned, hereby understand, acknowledge, and agree to the following:

​

1. I have been informed that the use of sauna facilities and any associated cold-water immersion involves exposure to high temperatures, cold conditions, and potential risks to my health.

2. I have read, understood, and agree to adhere to all guidelines, FAQs, safety instructions, and warnings provided by Wild Ritual regarding the use of their sauna and associated facilities.

3. I am aware of the potential risks associated with the use of saunas and cold-water immersion, including but not limited to dehydration, heat exhaustion, fainting, dizziness, hypothermia, and other health-related issues.

4. I confirm that I am in good health and do not have any medical conditions, injuries, or illnesses that would prevent me from safely using the sauna or cold-water immersion facilities. If I have any medical concerns or pre-existing conditions, I have consulted with a healthcare provider before participating.

5. I agree to follow all safety guidelines and instructions provided, including recommendations for sauna duration, hydration, and safe cooling methods.

6. I acknowledge that cooling in natural water sources, such as the sea, rivers, or lakes, is entirely at my own risk. Wild Ritual does not provide lifeguard services or supervise natural water access.

7. If I have booked on behalf of others, I confirm that I have shared this information with all participants in my group and that they understand and agree to these terms. I also confirm that all participants are fit to participate and have no medical contraindications.

Health & Illness Policy

​

Please do not attend your booking if you are unwell (e.g. cough, cold, flu-like symptoms, or high temperature). We reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone showing symptoms, for the safety & comfort of other guests and staff.

Our cancellation policy still applies if you are unable to attend due to illness. We’ll always do our best to help you reschedule within the cancellation policy guidelines, but as a small business with limited capacity, we cannot refund or reschedule late cancellations.

Extreme Weather & Session Cancellations

​

Wild ritual sauna operates year-round in outdoor coastal conditions. When booking, guests should understand that sessions will go ahead in most weather, including rain, wind, and cold, as part of the wild sauna experience.

Sessions will only be cancelled by wild ritual where conditions are deemed unsafe to operate.

 

This decision will be based on official guidance and local conditions, including but not limited to:

• Met Office Severe Weather Warnings (Amber or Red) for wind, storms, or coastal conditions

• Dangerous wind speeds affecting structures, access, or safe operation

• Conditions that present a genuine risk to guest or staff safety

If Wild ritual cancels a session due to unsafe weather conditions:

• Guests will be offered a reschedule to a future session or a full refund, depending on preference and availability.

Weather that is uncomfortable but not unsafe (including heavy rain, cold temperatures, or moderate wind) will not qualify for cancellation or refunds, and sessions will continue as scheduled.

Safety and comfort are always our priority, and decisions are made carefully and conservatively.

Access, Conditions & Personal Responsibility

​

Wild Ritual Sauna is located in a coastal, outdoor environment, and guests should take care when travelling to and from the sauna, particularly during wet, windy, or icy conditions.

​

There are two pedestrian access routes from the designated parking areas:
    •    Harbour route: A walk around the harbour
    •    Upper route: The pedestrian path above the harbour on Castle Road, adjacent to the bus stop, with steps down behind the last boathouse leading directly to the harbour

Please be mindful of:
    •    Slippery surfaces
    •    Uneven ground
    •    Wind exposure
    •    Appropriate footwear and clothing for the conditions

By booking a session, guests acknowledge the outdoor nature of the experience and accept personal responsibility for travelling to and from the sauna safely. If you have any concerns about access or conditions on the day, please contact us before travelling.

Waiver and Release of Liability​

​

In consideration for being allowed to use the sauna and wellness facilities provided by MI Wellness and Recovery LTD, trading as Wild Ritual Mobile Sauna, I hereby agree as follows:

1. Assumption of Risk: I voluntarily assume all risks associated with the use of Wild Ritual’s sauna and wellness facilities and accept full responsibility for any loss, injury, or damage, including death, that may occur as a result of my participation.

2. Release of Liability: I release Wild Ritual, its owners, employees, agents, and representatives from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising from or related to my use of their facilities, including but not limited to negligence.

3. Indemnity: I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Wild Ritual from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses, including legal fees, arising from my use of the sauna or wellness facilities or any breach of these terms.

4. Binding Agreement: I understand that this waiver and release of liability is binding upon me, my heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns and is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by applicable law.

General Conditions​

​

· I confirm that I am 18 years of age or older.

· If under the age of 18, I confirm that I have obtained consent from my parent or legal guardian, who has reviewed and signed this waiver on my behalf.

· I understand that Wild Ritual does not provide medical advice or supervision and that it is my responsibility (or the responsibility of my parent or legal guardian if I am under 18) to monitor my health and safety during the session.

· If I feel unwell or uncomfortable at any point during the session, I will immediately stop participating and notify a staff member.​​
